Mr Akshay Gupta, CFA - The Founder

Akshay Gupta is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a computer science graduate from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

Early 2007, the founder was a leveraged investor in Blue Chips Stocks in India. World markets were doing great and Indian markets were giving returns twice the world's average. All of a sudden, a credit crisis emerged. Although the world economic euphoria was a bubble but software services were still at its best and working on projects with small and medium enterprises looked promising.

During this time, a corporate honcho`s daughter sought help with her computer project which required the use of web conferencing to explain concepts. An idea to launch this service was born.

After a preliminary market research a huge demand was visible without any major competition. It was then Tutor Chapter came into existence, catering now to the needs of around 1000 students a month.

Online education has the ability to change the perception with which the world visualizes education. It not only makes education accessible to the poorest but also provides employment opportunities to many, thus augmenting the society as a whole.
